Grand Theft Auto 5 Online - Update & Weekly Deals March 5th -2021

Date of weekly update: March 4th, 2021

2x GTA$ & RP

  • Smuggler Sell Missions
  • Superyacht Life Missions
  • Sea & Air Races
  • Stockpile Adv Mode
  • Hidden Caches & Treasure Chests
  • Premium Race: Downtown Underground

The smuggler sell missions is very time-consuming and repetitive. If you would like a full breakdown of the smuggler-run business, then click here. I personally would not bother with this but of course, you can if you want to.

The Superyacht Missions is a fun way to make money solo or with friends! The player (or players) take part in a series of jobs for the captain of the yacht, from chasing jet skis to saving cars from a fiery doom, to protecting the yacht. Doing these jobs is a semi-quick and fun way to make money and RP!

If fighting bad guys is not your thing, then race your friends in the skies or on the water! With double money & RP on these races, it is another way to have fun and make money. You will not make a lot of money like the Superyacht jobs, but you will have fun making it!

Stockpile Adversary Mode is basically Capture the Flag but with planes and helicopters. It is simple really, capture enemy briefcases and bring them back to your base, but be aware as they can shoot you down and return it to their base! A great adversary mode to play with friends!

If the player has bought the sonar upgrade for their Kosatka, they can find Hidden Caches & Treasure Chests. When inside a sonar-equipped vehicle (Kosatka, Avisa, or Toreador), they will be given a prompt informing them they can turn on the sonar and it will reveal hidden caches. There are 10 hidden around San Andreas and each one gives the player $7,500 and 500 RP, but of course, you will get double this week.

For the treasure chests, this is a bit different. There are 19 possible locations (ten on land and nine underwater), but there will only be two per real-life day. The chests emit a sound, making it easier to locate them. Once a chest has been found and opened, the player will receive $15,000 and 1,000 RP, and again, you will get double this week. If you need help finding them, then click here. Happy hunting!

Discounts

60% off Hangars
50% off Yachts
40% off Avenger Weapon & Vehicle Workshops
40% off

  • Avenger ($2,070,000)
  • Akula ($2,222,430 - $1,671,000)
  • Hunter ($2,473,800 - $1,860,000)
  • Savage ($1,556,100 - $1,170,000)
  • Lazer ($3,900,000)
  • Deveste Eight ($1,077,000)
  • Zorrusso ($1,155,000)

Good discounts if you are into fighting from the skies. If you plan on taking advantage of the discounts of the above aircraft, you might want to customize them, so you will want to buy the hangar! You will need it if you plan on buying the Akula, Hunter, and many other aircraft that are not listed above.

If you have the money and you want a yacht, then you will want to take advantage of the 50% discount. Personally, the yacht would be the last thing I would purchase because it only grants a new property, a new CEO job, and the Superyacht Life Missions, which will not be going away anytime soon.

If you want the Avenger, you will need a facility (which grants the player access to the Doomsday Heist). Owning one allows the player to customize weaponized vehicles and MK2 weapons in the back of the Avenger (if the player buys the optional Weapon & Vehicle Workshops).

The Deveste Eight has moderate acceleration but an excellent top speed but be aware as it has a long wheelbase which will cause problems when it comes to cornering. The Zorrusso is like the Krieger in having great top speed and traction. The acceleration appears to be slightly inferior due to the rear-wheel-drive layout, but it is good enough to propel the car after slowing down. Its handling is good when it comes to corners, but braking is required for sharp turns. Hopefully, this brief explanation will help you decide whether you want the cars or not!

Podium Car

This week's car is the Bravado Verlierer. It takes a heavy influence from the TVR Sagaris and the Wiesmann GT MF.

Verlierer GTA 5 podium car

The Verlierer has an acceptable acceleration, but a high top speed. The handling is impeccable, being very responsive with a good cornering radius.

Twitch Prime Gaming

  • Free Kosatka Station
  • $200,000
  • 80% off Barrage ($424,270 - $319,00)
  • 80% off Brickade ($222,000)
  • 35% off Vetir ($1,059,500 - $794,625)

I would hate to say this, but it is not looking good for Twitch Prime subscribers. The only good thing is the $200k and the Free Kosatka Sonar Station.

The Barrage is a weaponized off-roader that is equipped with a minigun on the roof and can be equipped with a grenade launcher and mines. The Barrage can be customized. The minigun can spin around 360° while the grenade launcher can only aim towards the back. The driver can only use guns and cannot use sticky bombs.

The Brickade and Vetir are Pegasus vehicles that cannot be upgraded or customized. The Brickade is the fastest large-sized truck in the game with quick acceleration and high top speed. The truck can ram through small cars without bother but can lose control if crashing into something at an angle. The Vetir has a high centre of gravity which makes it unstable in corners and on even terrain. The only plus side to the Vetir is it can reach a respectable speed on flat roads after some time.

Log-in Rewards & Unlocks

There are no log-in rewards, however, there is a couple of unlocks.

Complete the Cayo Perico Finale to unlock
Panic Prolaps Basketball Top

Steal Secondary Loot during Cayo Perico to unlock
Panic Prolaps Basketball Shorts

And that is that! That is all the deals, bonuses, and log-in rewards as of Thursday 4th, March! I hope this was helpful in any way, shape, or form! I shall see you all next week when GTA gets its weekly update! Stay safe, gamers!
